Goose is loose:The Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club's fifth annual Goose is Loose Festival is 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Libertyville Sports Complex, Route 45 and Peterson Road. The free event features kids activities, games and a dunk tank, live music, food court and a beer garden. The highlight is the goose drop raffle for 20 area charities, in which plastic geese equipped with small parachutes are dropped from a 120-foot boom near several targets. The event last year generated about $50,000 for local charities.
