Elgin Riverside Club names its Man of the Year

The Elgin Riverside Club has selected David Schultz as its Man of the Year 2010.

On Friday, Aug. 27, he will be recognized by club members, friends and his family at a banquet in his honor.

Tickets to the banquet are $20 per person and reservations are due by Wednesday, Aug. 25.

A Tomahawk, Wis., native, Schultz began his career at Wausau Insurance Companies in 1976 and married Nancy Baumann in 1980. Together, they have three children, Brandon and Preston, who both live in Elgin, and Capt. Quenton Schultz (Tegan), who is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He is currently employed by Zurich Financial Services as a sourcing specialist for the IT Division.

A member of the club since 2002, he held the office of secretary in 2003 and 2004 and has been the club treasurer since 2005. He and Nancy have donated their time and talent for various activities and events.

He was instrumental in organizing various events that have become staples at the Elgin Riverside Club, such as the annual Margaritaville and Halloween/Oktoberfest parties, along with various events that benefit the club.
