Doubting health chief's motives
What's up with the 360-degree turnaround of Executive Director of Kane County Health Department Paul Kuehnert since Oct. 27, 2009?
My understanding was that Kuehnert was selected for this position due to his former position as a Public Health nurse in St. Louis, where his responsibilities included visiting young mothers and their babies.
Is this the same Paul Kuehnert who pushed to cut off services to 6,000 to 7,000 of the neediest families and dump these families on who, where?
First off, according to the Kane County Employee Pay Rate Report Dec. 1, 2009, his pay is $131,324.96 and ranked No. 2 of the 358 Kane County employees. Kuehnert was shy of $1,503.06 from being No. 1.
Second, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Kuehnert's self-serving motive is to continue collecting the same pay but with less responsibilities and clean his hands of dealing with the destitute for whom he was originally hired to care.
