Soccer coach sentenced to 50 years for child porn
CHICAGO -- The U.S. Attorney's office says a former paramedic and youth soccer coach has been sentenced to 50 years in federal prison for manufacturing and receiving child pornography.
A judge sentenced 46-year-old Timothy Scholtes on Wednesday to the maximum 30 years for manufacturing and 10 years each on two receiving counts.
Federal agents arrested Scholtes last year in Coal City after finding images on his computer.
Scholtes pleaded guilty to pornography charges. He later tried to take back his plea, but the judge denied him.
Officials say Scholtes' computer had about 200 images and 18 videos of child pornography.
Authorities have said the photo that got Scholtes arrested featured a boy about 8 to 10 years old.
