Car seat checkAdvocate Condell Medical Center will be hosting a Car Seat Inspection Day on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the hospital. The event is free. Certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect child car seats and booster seats to make sure that each child is in a restraint that is age and weight appropriate and is correctly installed. Please bring your seat installed in the car. If possible, bring the seat instruction booklet and your vehicle owner's manual. This event will take place at Advocate Condell Medical Center's Allen Conference Center Parking Lot, 700 Garfield in Libertyville. To register, call (800) 323-8622 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and request Class Code 5P38, or register online at advocatehealth.com/condell.Concert wraps up exhibitSaturday will be the last day to view the "Harry Potter's World" exhibit at the Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail in Lake Zurich. The traveling exhibit features a portrait quiz, a Renaissance portrait puzzle and Turning the Pages, digitized Renaissance books on touch-screen computers. Other parts of the library have been decorated to look like places out of the Harry Potter books. The exhibit will close Saturday with a Wizard Wrock Concert, where bands Dreary Inferi and Diagon Alley will perform Harry Potter-themed rock songs. The concert begins at 1 p.m.Concert at GreenbeltThe Sounds of Motown Revue Band will perform Aug. 29 at the Greenbelt Forest Preserve near North Chicago.
