Plato roundabout:The Kane County Department of Transportation is hosting an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. todayto receive public comments on a proposed roundabout at the intersection of Route 47 and Burlington Road in Plato Township. The event will be at the KDOT facility at 41W011 Burlington Road, just north of Empire Road. The band practices on Thursday evenings at Resurrection Church, Route 59 and Army Trail Road, in Wayne. For the 2010-11 concert season the band will waive the instrument rental fee for students choosing oboe, French horn or tuba as their primary instrument.
