Sox Training Academy hosts infield and catching clubs

The Chicago White Sox Training Academy will host an Infield Club and Catching Club in September at its five facilities: Glen Ellyn, LaGrange, Lisle, Schererville, Ind., and Tinley Park.

The Infield Club program will cover defensive fundamentals along with implementing advanced infield techniques. The Infield Club will start on Sept. 8 and run for four consecutive weeks. Enrollment is limited and is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 11years old. The times for the Infield Club will be 4:30-5:45 p.m. for 6 to 8 year olds and 5:45-7 p.m. for 9 to 11 year olds. The cost is $95.00 and is available in all five locations.

The Catching Club program is designed to develop skills by learning from the pros. This unique catcher's camp will cover stance, receiving, blocking, throwing, etc.

The White Sox Academy Catching Club will start on Sept. 9 and run for four consecutive weeks. Enrollment is limited and is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 11 years old. The times for the Infield Club will be 4:30-5:45 p.m. for 6 to 8 year olds and 5:45-7 p.m. for 9 to 11 year olds. The cost is $95.00 and is available in all five locations.
