Disagrees with outdoors columnist

I was infuriated after reading Mike Jackson's Aug. 5 outdoor column. Most of us fisherman look at these articles for tips on the new technique or hot spot. All I got out of today's column was that it is OK to cheat and strong-arm the system.

What a wonderful message to send to our youth. This is what is wrong with our country right now. As long as I benefit, who cares about anyone else? This is proven as Jackson enjoyed his fish dinner regardless of how it got there. I am sure the intention was to go down the nostalgic road, but what a sad life you must have had if this is a good memory you want to share with your readers.

Each day we are losing kids from enjoying the outdoors. We need to encourage the positive aspects of fishing, not stories of how I or others cheated the system. Shame on you, Mike.
