Illini hoops schedule includes N.C., Gonzaga, Texas
CHAMPAIGN -- Illinois' non-conference schedule includes five teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season and trips to New York City, Seattle, Chicago and St. Louis.
Illinois will face Texas at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov. 18 as part of the 2K Sports Classic before a game the next day against either Pittsburgh or Maryland.
The Illini also host North Carolina Nov. 30 and play Gonzaga in Seattle on Dec. 4.
Illinois' annual stop in Chicago will be against Illinois-Chicago on Dec. 18. Then, on Dec. 22, Illinois and Missouri will play their annual Braggin' Rights game in St. Louis.
Among other games, the Illini will host Bruce Weber's old team, Southern Illinois, on Nov. 13.
The Big Ten schedule will be released late this month.
