Whitney keeps it positive
I've read a number of letters printed in Fence Post concerning the negative messages political candidates have to offer to voters. These letters always indicate the candidate's messages is negative and wouldn't it be nice to hear something positive like what the candidate would do regarding some important issue.
Well, here's a suggestion for all of those like me who feel the same about this: Take a look at Rich Whitney, the Green Party candidate for governor. Whitney was on the Aug. 1 WBBM radio show "At Issue" and not once did he slam either Pat Quinn or Bill Brady. Instead, Whitney answered the questions he was asked relative to what he would do. Responses like this are a real change from the status quo.
If voters are really tired of listening to negative rhetoric in political races they can get some relief by taking a look at what Whitney has to say and offer the people of Illinois.
