Dundee library offers paper collage instruction with local artist

The Dundee Township Public Library will offer crafters an afternoon of paper collage instruction with local artist and author Rebekah Meier.

"Fabric Art Collage" will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the library, 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee.

In this hands-on workshop, Meier will show attendees how to create a material from gift tissue, paint and ink. All will leave with cards, postcards and tags they have created themselves. A $10 fee to cover materials will be due at class time. Bring scissors and any favorite tissue paper.

For the past 20 years, Meier has professionally established herself as an author, designer and artist in both the craft and quilt industries

Her designs have been featured in numerous publications, and she writes a column in Create and Decorate magazine. She is also a regular contributor to Crafts and Things magazine. She is the author and contributor to several books ranging from paper crafting and scrapbooking to wedding projects.

Registration is required. To register, visit the "Events & Registration" page at dundeelibrary.info, stop by the Information Services desk at the library, or call (847) 428-3661, ext. 308.
