Jordan to be Pippen's Hall of Fame presenter

Fittingly, Scottie Pippen will have Michael Jordan by his side again when he goes into the Hall of Fame.

Pippen will be presented by his former Bulls teammate when he is inducted Friday night in Springfield, Mass. Each inductee is presented by a current Hall of Famer. Jordan was enshrined last year.

Pippen will be inducted twice Friday. Pippen and Jordan, who led the Bulls to six NBA titles, were part of the Dream Team that highlights the class along with Karl Malone and the 1960 U.S. Olympic team.

Malone will be presented by former Knicks center Willis Reed.

Noah, Bulls talk extension: Center Joakim Noah and the Bulls are discussing a possible contract extension and hope to have an agreement by the start of the season.

Noah's agent, Donald Dell, on Monday confirmed an ESPNchicago.com report that the two sides have begun talks. He is due $3.1 million next season in the fourth year of his rookie contract.

Noah is coming off a breakout season in which he averaged 10.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while battling plantar fasciitis in his left foot that kept him out of 18 games.

NBA, players to resume bargaining: The NBA and its players' association will return to the bargaining table this week to resume talks toward a new labor agreement.

Commissioner David Stern disclosed the meeting during a conference call Monday to announce regular-season games in London next March between New Jersey and Toronto.

It will be the first bargaining session since the league's all-star weekend in February, when the players rejected the owners' proposal for a deal to replace the one that expires June 30, 2011.

The union recently submitted its own proposal, but Stern indicated it's similar to the current CBA and the owners are seeking significant changes to the system.

Stern has estimated the league will lose about $370 million this season, which the union disputes. The salary cap was higher than projected because revenues were up, but the league said expenses were, too.

Around the league: NBA Commissioner David Stern announced that the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets will face each other March 4 and 5 in London at the O2 Arena, the same venue that has hosted preseason games over the last several years. ... The Minnesota Timberwolves signed free-agent forward Anthony Tolliver. ... The New Jersey Nets signed free agent forward Sean May.
