Business group not fans of West Dundee village manager

The Main Street Alliance is a national network of small business coalitions working to build a new voice for small businesses on important public policy issues. As small as this issue appears to be, The Main Street Alliance along with most businesses in the area supports Randy Errington, owner of Hammerhead's Billiards Pub in West Dundee, against verbal and physical abuse by West Dundee Village Manager Joe Cavallero during an argument over fair representation by public officials.

We also disagree on a unanimous decision made by the West Dundee board to pay $2,500 of legal fees on behalf of their boss out of public funds. This action not only angers the business owners but also the citizens, and it sets a bad precedent. Public funds should not be used to pay for the defense of criminal acts of public officials.
