Blagojevich's possible acquittal could be costly for Illinois
Here's a scary thought. If Rod Blagojevich is acquitted on the charges brought against him by Patrick Fitzgerald and company, could he demand his old job back as governor? Could he sue the state of Illinois for defamation of character for improperly impeaching him based on allegations and charges by the feds that would be considered false? Could the people of Illinois be forced to pay him back 19 months of salary and benefits if he is acquitted no matter how course and crude and scheming he may have been?
