Two injured in Geneva crash

Two people were injured in a two-car crash Friday afternoon on West State Street near Maple Street in Geneva. The head-on collision occurred around 6 p.m. A third car also hit the vehicles after the initial crash.

The driver of one vehicle was taken to Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. The driver of the other car was airlifted to a trauma center after Geneva firefighters cut him out of the vehicle. The rescue took about 20 minutes.

Part of West State Street where the crash occurred is closed to traffic. Police are still investigating.
