Naperville man elected DuPage Legion commander

Naperville resident Bob Bohr has been elected commander of the DuPage County American Legion for 2011-12, executive committee members announced Thursday.

Bohr, who long has been active in veterans' affairs, served as commander of Naperville Post No. 43 in 2007 and 2008 while also serving as sergeant-of-arms for the county Legion.

He will be installed Aug. 22 in ceremonies at the Judd Kendall VFW Post at 809 W. Jackson St., Naperville. Other new officers are Roberta Poulos of Bartlett, senior vice commander, and Woody Kawaters of Downers Grove, junior vice commander.
