Ind. prosecutor faces misconduct allegations

TELL CITY, Ind. -- A state disciplinary commission has filed a complaint against a southern Indiana county prosecutor on allegations that he made improper sexual advances toward a female deputy prosecutor.

Perry County Prosecutor Robert Collins denies the accusations and says he'll contest them at a state hearing.

The complaint says a state conservation officer sitting near Collins during a trial heard him tell the woman he wanted to have sex with her. The complaint also says Collins tried to rub the woman's feet and slide his hands down her back, then fired her after more than two years with the office.

Collins has been the county's prosecutor since 1999 and remains in the position pending action by the state Supreme Court on the commission's complaint.
