Pensions won't be there for teachers
The top 100 school district administrators who are near retirement will receive an estimated $887 million in pension money during their retirement, according to the teachers service record of the Illinois State Board of Education.
Simple math gives each $9 million. The highest goes to a Niles Township High School District 219 administrator - sit down - $28 million.
They are eating up all funds for future retires. As stated in an op-ed column recently in the Herald, the contractual agreement is between the employee and the pension fund. Don't look for a bailout from taxpayers. At this rate the funds will run out of money in 10 years. If you union members don't get your unions to get these people to voluntarily reduce their benefits, there won't be anything left for you.
