Illini's Paul on Euro tour

Illini assistant coach Jay Price will lead a group of 10 men's basketball players on a European Tour, Aug. 12-20, through Global Sports Academy.

Included in the roster are Fighting Illini sophomores Brandon Paul of Gurnee and Tyler Griffey.

The team will play a total of five games, three in Belgium and two in Germany. In addition to the competition, sightseeing tours of Belgium, London and Germany are scheduled.

Joining Paul and Griffey on the trip are D.J. Byrd (Purdue), Ryan Evans (Wisconsin), Dyricus Simms-Edwards (Bradley), Gene Teague (Southern Illinois), Adam Leonard (Missouri State), Seth VanDeest and Ben Simons (Drake), and Tyler Laser (Eastern Illinois).
