Homemaker's role what you make it
Listening to Gov. Pat Quinn's campaign ads, I wondered, what is he smoking? His ads, meant to discredit his opponent Bill Brady, lack reality.
In his illusionary world he suggests all working women are careerists and that Brady wants to prevent them from pursuing their dreams, maybe nightmares. Reality is, most women, if they won the lottery today, would quit their jobs tomorrow.
Here is a message for you, Governor: A homemaker's role is what you make of it. For women like myself, we have become the champions for the political counter culture opposing the debasement and destruction of society that the Quinns of this country have foisted upon us.
We are the hand that rocks the cradle, writes the letters, make the phone calls and blankets our churches and neighborhoods with the voting records of the candidates.
We want lower taxes, choice in quality education, higher cultural standards, which includes the right to pass on to our children our possessions, our traditions and our values. Or is that asking too much?
