Elginbull; Darryl Gleese, 42, of the 300 block of Bent Street, Elgin, faces a pair of drug charges after police said officers found cocaine and marijuana on his person Sunday evening during a traffic stop. Gleese, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Police said he had a gram of cocaine and 2.5 grams of marijuana. His bond was set at $800 and he is due in court Friday at the Kane County Judicial Center. bull; The owner of a 1996 Honda Civic discovered a bullet hole in the rear hatch of the vehicle at 7:56 p.m. Sunday while it was parked in the 900 block of Duncan Avenue, reports said.bull; Peter A. Hawist, 44, of the 600 block of Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and theft of services at 9:09 a.m. Sunday. McMullin Jr., 20, of the 300 block of Harvest Lane, South Elgin, was arrested and charged with marijuana possession at 5:24 p.m. Thursday after a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Gilbert Street, reports said. McMullin was a passenger in a car pulled over for its driver not wearing a seat belt, police said. The officer making the stop smelled pot smoke in the vehicle, according to reports. McMullin had 10 grams of marijuana in his possession and is due in court on Aug. 9, reports said.bull; Two saws, a hammer drill, a miter box and router, a total value of about $1,000, were stolen between 5:30 p.m. July 19 and 8:10 a.m. July 20 from an unlocked work van in the 600 block of Concord Avenue, reports said.
