Collective Soul to 'Shine' at Naperville's Last Fling

Collective Soul is rounding out the entertainment bill at this year's Last Fling in Naperville.

The Georgia-based rockers have headlined the Naperville Jaycees' annual Labor Day weekend festival multiple times in the past.

Known for such hits as "Shine," "The World I Know" and "Heavy," Collective Soul will perform Saturday, Sept. 4. The band's performance will be bookended by fellow headliners Buddy Guy on Friday and country superstar Clint Black on Sunday.

Collective Soul is touring in support of the band's eighth studio album. The self-titled album was released in 2009.

Other performances Saturday include 7th Heaven at 6 p.m. and Josh Holmes at 4 p.m.

The concerts are held at the base of Rotary Hill near Naperville's famed Riverwalk. Tickets for all main stage shows are $15, but there is a free concert at 2 p.m. Monday to honor military veterans and their families as well.
