Lombard photographer honored

Stephanie Vanik, a photographer from the JCPenney Portrait Studio at Yorktown Mall in Lombard was awarded second place for the annual "Chairman's Award" which is given out to the top photographers in the company.

She earned the honor in the "Oscar award for image creation" competition. This is the second year that Vanick has been a finalist, she placed in the top 15 last year.

This year there were more than 900 entries submitted from throughout the country.
