NAACP racial criticism of tea party amusing

I was quite amused recently at the NAACP's indictment of the tea party, calling them racist and condemning them. I now believe that this "AstroTurf" organization, as loose as it is, is having a profound affect on the upcoming 2010 election.

I am one of many Americans that has attended various tea party events and have found no elements of racism there whatsoever. Perhaps the NAACP is merely moving in flow with a desire by the current administration to marginalize the tea party. If the dialogue can move away from the tea party's goal of smaller government and less spending, then all the better for some.

However, I think the public can see through the fog of the Obama rhetoric. The timing of the NAACP indictment is interesting to say the least. Most Americans are clearly disappointed with the plight of the country. The silence of the president in this matter glowingly speaks volumes. This was supposed to be the great unifier. President Obama had the earlier infamous "beer summit." but in this matter, as well as the Department of Justice lack of movement involving the clearly racist voter intimidation of the New Black Panther Party,

I am disappointed in his lack of integrity. This was a clear chance for President Obama to be the hope we all could believe in. I would hope that in the future, the NAACP, which has done wonderful work in the past, would speak out against any racism, by anyone, of any color; that would truly be an American aspiration that we can all benefit from.
