Helpers made garden walk beautiful

On July 10, the Pottawatomie Garden Club held a Garden Walk in St. Charles. It was very successful, featuring five beautiful gardens - some large and some small, some in the city and some in the country, some proudly landscaped by the owners and some professionally landscaped. Hundreds of people, many from out of town, attended and enjoyed this biennial event. They also enjoyed the restaurants, shopping and ambience of our lovely community.

This wonderful day did not just happen by itself. It was the end result of hard work, donated time and cooperation of many. This letter is our thank you, for many wonderful gifts of plants, manpower, supplies and gift certificates. We are especially grateful to Heinz Brothers Greenhouse, Blue Goose Market, Culligan Tri-City Soft Water, EverGreen Landscape Associates, Daily Herald newspaper, Townhouse Books, Wasco Nursery and the Downtown St. Charles Partnership. Last, but not least, thank you to all the dedicated and creative members of Pottawatomie Garden Club.

Congratulations to all for a special day in St. Charles. We are grateful for our community's support.
