Land and Lakes antics just empty rhetoric

The antics of a Buffalo Grove trustee at the July 12 board meeting are another "cry wolf" about Land and Lakes.

Congratulations to President Hartstein and the trustees for actually standing up and giving facts to refute the innuendo and accusations of Trustee Stone. After hearing the real facts, I am even more upset by Stone's constant badgering. It appeared Trustee Stone didn't "hear" the facts as they were presented, black on white.

Trustee Stone's constant overstating the case and repetitious, circular arguments with no point are actually getting to the level that it'll be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Who are the victims here? If L&L is such a health problem, what has happened to the population because of the landfill? Besides an occasional smell, what else is there? The smell will be gone since L&L has ceased composting.

What else has anyone suffered health-wise because of the L&L property? If there are victims, they are the village board, staff and citizens who attend or watch board meetings.

Why doesn't Trustee Stone take up real health issues and put her dogged efforts in that arena. Drug abuse, health care, domestic violence are areas that need help. Real people are suffering there.

Trustee Stone seems to have no inkling of what a trustee should do and what the responsibilities are. She exhibits a complete lack of knowledge of governmental operations; meeting rules and decorum; formal, effective personal interactions; dealing with people; and the ability to effectively present an issue for discussion.

What has Trustee Stone done to make Buffalo Grove a better place? She is in her own little world and doesn't recognize the handwriting on the wall. What happened on 7/12 will energize more citizens to sign the recall petition.

Trustee Stone's venomous comments toward the other trustees are disgraceful, showing a complete lack of control and professionalism. Unfortunately this wasn't the first time.

I thought there might be a light at the end of tunnel regarding this situation. After 7/12, I am sure that light is really a big train coming toward us.
