Yoo second in AJGA finale
Kris Yoo, a Schaumburg resident who attended Conant High School, finished in second place at the McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legend, an open tournament put on by the American Junior Golf Association.
The McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends, which was completed Friday, is a 54-hole stroke play tournament conducted by the American Junior Golf Association and was competed at The Legend at Bristlecone in Hartland, Wis.
The tournament field consisted of 120 boys and girls ages 12-18 from 16 states.
The girls division was played at 5,970 yards.
"It was exciting to finish well in my last AJGA event," said Yoo, who won the tournament last year. "The AJGA has helped me a lot throughout my golf career. I met great golfers and the experience will help me in the fall."
Yoo will be playing for the women's golf team at Wisconsin in the fall.
