Hanover Park gets two grants

The Hanover Park Fire Department recently secured two grants for its Fire Corps Rehab program. With the help of village resident and former Fire Corps member Robert Wachsmuth, the department received $1,380 from the Chicago Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals.

The department also received $500 from the Sam's Club Community Grant Program. The Fire Corps Rehab team has assisted Sam's Club with charitable events including a food drive for the Hanover Township Food Pantry.

The grants will fund eight cooling chairs, a cooling fan and perishable supplies.
