Suburban medical groups to merge

Northwest Gastroenterologists, Elgin Gastroenterology and Lake Shore Gastroenterology announced that they have merged and together will be called the Illinois Gastroenterology Group.

The group spans the Chicago suburban area, from Lake Michigan to the Fox River Valley. It will ultimately expand across the entire Chicago area, the group said.

The group includes board-certified private-practice gastroenterologists and allied professionals.

The physicians have developed Centers of Excellence in Esophageal Motility, Advanced Endoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, and Clinical Research.
