Motorcycle ride for kids

The annual Chicagoland Ride for Kids to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation will be held at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, July 18 at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive.

Escorted by local and state police, motorcyclists will ride together to raise money for medical research grants and family support programs. Minimum donation is $35 per motorcycle.

The ride will culminate at the college with a Celebration of Life program featuring onstage interviews with local childhood brain tumor survivors and award presentations to top fundraising chapters, clubs, individuals and motorcycle businesses.

There will be a grand prize drawing for a new Honda motorcycle. Free coffee and pastries will be available for breakfast and a light lunch at the end of the ride.
