Equity Residential boosting debt

Chicago-based Equity Residential, the largest publicly traded U.S. apartment landlord, sold $600 million of 10-year notes after boosting the offering by $100 million.

The 4.75 percent debt yields 180 basis points more than similar-maturity Treasuries, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. A basis point is 0.01 percentage point.
