Northwestern opens new transplant clinic in Joliet
One the country's largest organ transplant programs has just branched out in Chicago's suburbs.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital has opened a new transplant clinic in Joliet. That makes for easier access to kidney and liver disease services for patients in Chicago's southern and southwestern suburbs.
The new clinic aims to serve potential transplant patients with a team that includes liver specialist Dr. Laura Kulik and kidney specialist Dr. Lorenzo Gallon.
Northwestern's transplant program offers services including living liver donor operations and paired exchanges for kidney transplants.
