Bandits delay golf outing

The Chicago Bandits Golf Classic has been pushed back to Aug. 17. It was originally planned for July 13.

The delay is due to travel constraints and concerns with the Tennessee Diamonds away series.

The extended deadline opens the door for more people to enter the tournament. There will be games at each hole in the scramble-style tournament, with opportunities to win various on-course prizes and a lunch buffet after the round is complete.

Prizes include Chicago Bears memorabilia, a Paul Konerko autographed baseball bat, and a Mizuno softball glove.

The price to enter is $75 per person, with the opportunity to sign up and compete as a foursome. Check in will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 9 a.m. The day's activities should end sometime in the early afternoon.
