Wolves home opener set

The Chicago Wolves will celebrate the team's 17th home opener at Allstate Arena on Oct. 16, the team announced Tuesday.

Team officials also released the dates for five other Saturday home games for the 2010-11 season: Oct. 30, Nov. 20, Nov. 27, Dec. 18 and Jan. 8.

The entire 80-game schedule, along with opponents and times, will be released later this summer.

"We are looking forward to defending our West Division title this season in front of our tremendous fans at the Allstate Arena," said Wolves President Mike Gordon. "The combination of our historic on-ice success and the increased interest in hockey in the Chicagoland area should make for an exciting season."
