Chicago Sky scouting report

Indiana Fever (9-6) at Chicago Sky (8-9)

When: 7 p.m., today

Where: Allstate Arena

TV: CN Channel 100

Last time: On June 29, the Fever lost to the Mystics 68-65 in Washington; on Saturday, the Sky defeated the Dream 88-82 in Atlanta.

Skinny: In the last five days, the Sky beat Connecticut, then the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, and Eastern leader Atlanta. The Dream is 7-2 at home, with both losses to the Sky. But if the Sky has Atlanta's number, the argument could be made that the Fever has the Sky's. The Sky is 0-3 against the Fever this season in the teams' five-game season series. Indiana's most recent win over the Sky (70-64) came June 27 at Allstate Arena. Thanks to 21 turnovers and 33 percent shooting from the field, the Sky was unable to take advantage of subpar games by the Fever's biggest stars, Tamika Catchings (4 points on 1-of-9 shooting) and Katie Douglas (10 points on 4-of-11 shooting). Reserve guard Erin Thorn led the Sky with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point land, while Sylvia Fowles finished with 11 points and a season-high 17 rebounds. The Sky is trying to reach the .500 mark for the second time this season.
