Wheeling's lack of 4th spirit riles him

After 48 years of living in Wheeling, through the corruption to the present, I have never been as ashamed of this village as I am today. This will be my last word on this.

The back page of the News section of the Herald had a three-column list of festivals, parades and fireworks scheduled for the celebration of our country's independence - each of these villages showing the residents of their communities their appreciation for paying their taxes, but mostly pride in our country's greatest day.

Wheeling was the leader in festivals, parades and fireworks. No matter how low budget they were. they always showed their pride in our country's Independence Day.

Now, nothing. All I can say is, shame on you Wheeling and I can't wait to move out.
