U.S. Senate race looks like a clown race

On the Democratic side we have Alexi Giannoulias, who was a senior loan officer at his family's failed Broadway Bank. He says he had nothing to do with those loans. That sounds like a lie.

Now the Republicans have Mark Kirk who is always pictured wearing his hat that depicts him as a proud veteran. As a member of the Naval Reserve, Kirk claimed he won an intelligence officer of the year award. Turns out this was a lie as his unit won the award.

Kirk also claimed he was under fire while in a jet during Northern Watch. Last week he said he "couldn't be sure but assumed so." Probably a lie. You couldn't make this stuff up.

These are our choices in November.
