Volunteers came to aid of shelter in need after the storm

Thank you so much to everyone that helped Animal House Shelter recently! Things were pretty rough after the storm. Our power went out as soon as the storm started around 3 p.m. Friday and we didn't get electricity restored until about 3 p.m. Saturday.

The outpouring of generosity from all the volunteers and the community was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. There are truly some very special people out there, especially all of you. Within hours we had the lobby filled with water, ice, volunteers and even food and Gatorade for the people working.

I and all of the dogs and cats at AHS are so very blessed to have you in all our lives. In a time of crisis you all really pulled through, and I cannot thank you enough. Everyone who helped make all this possible has my sincere thanks.
