Chicago should keep Walmart out, not the answer to economic problems

I am glad the Chicago Federation of Labor has rejected Walmart's latest offer. We don't need companies like Walmart in the city of Chicago. The life blood sucked out of the suburbs is quite enough, thank you. Walmart talks about 12,000 permanent jobs but I hate to burst their bubble and remind Walmart there is no such thing as a permanent job.

Fifty thousand square feet, repeated a dozen times across the city, containing weak wages and inferior products are not what we need to jump start our local economy. Please, Mayor Daley and city councilmen, don't let Walmart get one tiny toe in the door or surely you will owe your soul to the company store.
