Many have benefited from Kirk's service
As a longtime Congressman, Mark Kirk has been the driving force behind narrowing the fiscal gap between school district spending and military reimbursements in multiple school districts, including North Chicago, Glenview and Highland Park.
Kirk's irreproachable stewardship extends far beyond his immediate constituents. Kirk has co-sponsored legislation to ban political contributions from earmark recipients to their sponsoring members of Congress. This ban, if enacted, would extend to lobbyists, employees and PACs affiliated with the earmark recipient.
Kirk was also the first elected Illinois official to oppose a pardon for George Ryan. The choice is clear: Mark Kirk for U.S. Senate.
