Gina Glocksen to perform in St. Charles
The St. Charles Park District and the Downtown St. Charles Partnership continues its summer "Concerts in the Park" series with Gina Glocksen at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 1 at the Lincoln Park Gazebo, located along Main Street between Fourth and Fifth streets.
Gina Glocksen is best known as the ninth-place finalist of the sixth season of "American Idol." Although she was referred to as the "rocker chick," her influences and abilities range far beyond rock. Gina's original music infuses the passion and attitude of a rock n' roll rebel with the precision and soul of a modern diva.
Bring your family and friends for a picnic in the park. Settle in before the concert and enjoy picnic-style offerings at reasonable rates from downtown St. Charles restaurants and local vendors including Domino's Pizza, Mall-BQ and Must Love Dogs. Alcohol is not permitted on park district property. Guests are encouraged to get to the park early for better seating. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, too.
Upcoming concerts include: Hey Jimmy on July 8, Kimi Hayes Band on July 15, Gizzae on July 22, Lazy Maybes on July 29, Rhythm Rockets on Aug. 5, The United States Air Forces Band of Mid-America on Aug. 12 and Howard & the White Boys on Aug. 19.
In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St. Musicians are subject to change without notice. For information, visit stcparks.org or call (630) 513-6200.
