BP not only ones to blame for oil spill disaster
Shame, shame on BP. But they are not the only bad guys in this entire disaster. All the different oil companies, all of them, should have made plans in advance for a worst-case scenario, not after the fact when millions of barrels of oil have been dumped into the ocean.
BP is not only responsible for the damage to the ocean or the coastal areas but is also responsible for the killing of untold numbers of creatures of the sea. Sea turtles, fish, birds. What do we do next when dolphins, and countless other creatures of both land and sea, start washing up on shore? What's BP going to do about that? Are they also going to start a hatchery for all the dead creatures that they killed to make up for them that will take many years to restore, if ever?
Now they are saying that they are going to pull many gallons of the oil at its source with another new idea, but what good does that do if they don't stop all the oil from flowing out? They are also saying that it will be August before new wells are drilled before the big relief. Great, huh?
Our government is not blameless in all this mess. The inspections were not there as they should have been. Our government did not require a plan for a big disaster when common sense tells us that it could happen at any time. What happened and why wasn't it done?
We all should be mad and stay that way and not forget this incident. Don't let our government let BP or the other oil companies off the hook.
