FISH Food Pantry to host open house, thank residents for generosity
Volunteers of the FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville will have an open house on Sunday, June 27 to celebrate 40 years of service to Northern Kane County.
The open house will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the pantry, which is located in the Meadowdale Shopping Center, along Route 25.
During the pantry's history, it has provided free food to a steady and growing number of Fox Valley families who could not afford it. Volunteers have never turned anyone away or closed their doors because of lack of supplies.
The open house will give volunteers an opportunity to thank residents of East and West Dundee, Carpentersville, Sleepy Hollow and Gilberts for regularly donating money and food that allows them to continue their work.
