Scouting reportChicago Sky (4-8) at Connecticut Sun (8-3)When: 6:30 p.m., todayWhere: Mohegan Sun ArenaLast time: On Saturday, the Sky lost in overtime to the Mystics in Washington D.C. (65-61); On Sunday, the Sun defeated the Mercury in Phoenix (96-94).Skinny: What's with the Sky and the number 4? Four straight losses to start the season, then 4 straight wins. Now the Sky is on a four-game losing streak. Could this game in Connecticut be the start of another four-game winning streak? The Sky sure hopes so. The team's first-ever playoff berth will hang further in the balance if this streak grows much longer. The Sky happens to be running up against one of the hottest teams in the WNBA. Connecticut has won five of its last six games and seven of nine. The Sun hosted and beat the Sky 74-61 in the teams' season opener in May, when Connecticut rookie center Tina Charles scored 17 points and and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Sun features four double-figure scorers, led by Charles (16.3 ppg), Renee Montgomery (13.2 ppg), Tan White (11.1 ppg) and Sandrine Gruda (11 ppg). The Sky is coming off a heartbreaker in which it led much of the game and had multiple chances to escape Washington with a win. Center Sylvia Fowles led the way with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks, which tied a career high. Guards Jia Perkins and Epiphanny Prince both chipped in 10 points. Fowles (19.5 ppg) and Perkins (10.2 ppg) are the only two Sky players averaging double figures. The Sky is hoping forward Shameka Christon is back in the starting lineup soon. She missed the last two games after being elbowed in the eye and suffering a fractured orbital socket, a scratched cornea and a concussion.Next: Washington Mystics at Sky, 7:30 p.m., Friday
