Salute Inc. run/walk another big success
Salute IncOn May 30th, Salute, Inc. held its seventh annual Run/Walk in Arlington Heights and it was a great success. Each year we hold this event to not only run and walk, but remember what Memorial Day is all about, that is the past, present, and future service and sacrifice of our heroes and their families in our military services.
There were many organizations and individuals who made this event possible - Arlington Park, TrainSignal, Gov. Pat Quinn, Mayor Mulder, Runners High n Tri, Photos Hot Dogs, Shannon Rovers of Chicago, Meadows Credit Union, Panera Bread, the Knights of Columbus (Holy Rosary Council, Seton Elizabeth Ann Assembly and Sword & Baldric Club), Windy City Hitman, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Arlington Heights Park District, Team ReLiv, Junk Genius and many others.
We also want to acknowledge our volunteers who came out and especially the runners and walkers who participated. We are thankful and grateful for all of you and what you do for Salute Inc. to help us fulfill our mission.
As the summer rolls forward and other holidays follow, please do not forget those who guarantee and secure our freedoms. America would not be where it is today without these heroes! Thank you again and don't forget to "Honor the Service and Remember the Sacrifice".
