Elginbull; Someone stole $90 in cash and a $300 portable air conditioner from a house in the 200 block of Villa Street at about 5 p.m. Thursday, police said. bull; Someone stole a tan Hyundai Sonata and a blue Nissan Xterra from a residential driveway in the 300 block of Fountain Avenue between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, police said. The owners said both cars were left unlocked, reports said. bull; Someone smashed the windshield and scraped the hood of a maroon Nissan Maxima between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 12:25 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Ludlow Avenue, reports said. The owner said a large landscaping rock was used, according to the police. bull; Someone reported an armed robbery at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Locust Street, police said. He was beaten by his girlfriend's brothers with a metal object, and they took from him $180 cash and his cell phone, reports said. South Elginbull; Estaban Zaragoza, 18, of the 700 block of Michigan Avenue, South Elgin, was charged for his role in a Thursday altercation in which he pushed his pregnant girlfriend, causing her to fall and cut her head, police said. He is charged aggravated battery to a pregnant person and domestic battery. Zaragoza said during his Friday morning bond hearing that his girlfriend is three months pregnant with his child. His bond was set at $15,000 and he is due in court again June 30 at the Kane County Judicial Center. Aggravated battery is a Class 3 felony that carries a prison sentence ranging between two and five years.Carpentersvillebull; Travis K. Morgan, 23, of the 3000 block of Lynn Court, has been charged for possessing an altered vehicle registration sticker and for displaying it on a license plate, a police report said. His bond was set at $3,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court June 25 at the Kane County Judicial Center.East Dundeebull; Steve J. Cook, 32, of the first block of Guth Street in East Dundee, was charged with several drug and firearm-related offenses after officers were called to the residence on June 12, police said. Officers found between 20 and 50 marijuana plants, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as two illegal firearms and ammunition, a police report said.Kane County bull; A mailbox on the 41W000 block of Derby Lane, near Huntley, was destroyed by a makeshift bomb around 2 a.m. June 12, according to a police report. Police said the explosive was a "chemical-type" bomb in a soda bottle, and the mailbox had been taped shut. Damage was estimated at $50. bull; An electric pressure washer was reported stolen Wednesday from a driveway on the 13N500 block of Gunpowder Lane, near Elgin.
