McHenry County arrests 20 in one-day warrant roundup

McHenry County Sheriff's Police arrested 20 people Thursday on outstanding warrants.

The arrests were part of a one-day warrant roundup led by the county sheriff's apprehension unit.

The vast majority of the warrants were for misdemeanors. Many were served on repeat offenders and others who had multiple warrants out, according to the sheriff's office.

Besides the sheriff's office, the arrests were made by officers from the Illinois State Police, McHenry Police Department, Crystal Lake Police Department, Lake County Sheriff's Office and the United States Marshal Service.

The following were arrested on felony charges: Steven S. Tipman, 20, of the 4900 block of Pistakee Drive, Johnsburg for child pornography; Michelle Y. Djus, 28, of the 5800 block of Lancaster Circle, McHenry, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance; Ana M. Alverson, 46, of the 5100 block of Orchard Drive, McCullom Lake, for obstructing justice; John J. Deuchler, 32, of the 1400 block of Butternut Drive, Crystal Lake, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance; and Bradley M. Barry, 212, of the 0-99 block of Pine Circle, Crystal Lake, for unlawful use of a credit card.
