Kirk has served the Navy with honor, dedication

I would like to respond to Charles Sawyer's June 8 letter "Mark Kirk disgraces the Navy." I am not a veteran, but I know from Kirk's impressive record that he has far from disgraced the Navy. My son joined the Army just after college graduation as a direct result of knowing Congressman Kirk. His vision is to someday be able to know that he gave to America the same dedication and service that Congressman Kirk has. If only we had more heroes walking among us. Thank you Congressman Kirk for your leadership and unwavering pride in being an American.
