'Woofstock' event dedicated to all things canine
Celebrate man's best friend at Lambs Farm's 4th Annual Woofstock this Saturday.
The day will be dedicated to all things canine, including demonstrations, vendors, crafts and activities, food, live music and a My Doggie and Me fashion show.
You and your dog may browse the vendors' offerings of stylish clothing and accessories, toys, food and other pet-related items or watch the demonstrations by Robin's Dog Stars, Crossroads Search and Rescue and Sky Dogz Frisbee team.
In the afternoon, dogs will line up to compete in the Lambs Farm obstacle courses. Clifford the Big Red Dog also will also be in attendance courtesy of media sponsor WYCC-TV. In addition, Definite Change, a local rock and alternative rock band, will perform live.
Think you and your dog are too hot for the runway? Pick out your best coordinating outfits and strut your stuff for the My Doggie and Me fashion show for a chance to win one of three gift certificates to the Lambs Farm Pet Shop.
Additional sponsors include Record-A-Hit Entertainment, Hinsdale Animal Cemetery and Pac'n Go Rec.
All proceeds from the event benefit Lambs Farm, a premier nonprofit organization serving adults with disabilities.
