Glenn Beck appearing at Sears Centre

Tickets for political pundit Glenn Beck's appearance at the Sears Centre top out at $1,202.

That VIP admission price gets ticketholders access to a meet-and-greet with Beck, a photo and a signed copy of his book. Beck is set to appear on Sept. 18 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. Tickets are on sale at searscentre.com.

Beck has made controversial statements while hosting conservative-leaning talk shows on Fox News and on the radio. He's also a New York Times best-selling author.

Tickets for Beck's appearance start at $77, excluding service charges. In comparison, tickets for former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's May 12 appearance at the Rosemont Theatre ranged in price from $54 to $297.

In addition to Beck, the event will feature right-leaning celebrities with local and national political personalities.

The event's online description touts that it will bring "conservatives, Republicans, libertarians and Tea Party independents together just six weeks before the November election in Obama's backyard."
